preferably using the custom menu module, is there a way to create a menu where one of the options opens a new menu(in hyprland nixos)

in my case i have made a button that opens a menu to a few settings app i often use, i also want it to be able to open another menu with my most commonly used config files and such

You can nest a GtkMenu inside a GtkMenuItem using child type="submenu". Add this inside your existing menu:

          <object class="GtkMenuItem" id="edit_waybar">
            <property name="label">Waybar config</property>

Then add edit_waybar to menu-actions, pointing it at your editor command. The submenu stays in the same XML file. GTK syntax, Waybar menu config.
