New TRYX printer-class protocol support is available on Linux

A new version of TRYX Panorama Manager with support for the newer USB printer-class protocol is now available in the production branch.

The new runtime supports devices exposed as:

391a:1021 RK PASE

What is currently supported:

• direct printer-class communication through libusb
• device information and origin-aware media catalog
• custom image, GIF, and video upload with media conversion
• Full Screen and Screen Splitting modes
• brightness and display backlight control
• Mirror and Waterfall display modes
• live CPU and GPU metrics and badges
• background runtime over D-Bus
• bounded recovery after a physical USB disconnect and reconnection

The project now builds from a minimal project-owned protobuf wire schema under protocol/wire-v1. Recovered vendor schema files and extracted vendor videos are not build or release dependencies.

Current hardware status:

• TRYX PANORAMA SE ARGB 360: tested on real hardware
• other PANORAMA, PANORAMA SE, PANORAMA V2, STAGE, TURRIS, and HOLO models: not confirmed

This is currently a source distribution. Ready-to-install Fedora RPM and Arch Linux packages are planned next. AppImage may be provided as an additional artifact later.

Hi! Thanks for the announcement. I'm using a TURRIS 620 (创氪星系 风屿620) on Fedora 44 with TRYX Panorama Manager 2.2.0 (USB ID 391a:2011), and I'd like to report one issue:

Video uploads play only once instead of looping.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Upload a video (or GIF) to the Turris 620 via the Display page
2. The media plays a single time and then stops
3. The "Play mode" selector (Single / Loop / Shuffle) shows "Loop" as an option, but selecting it has no effect — uploads always play once

Expected behavior: uploaded videos should keep looping, like they do with TRYX Kanali on Windows.

Is loop playback supported or planned for the TURRIS? I'm happy to provide logs or run any diagnostics that would help.

Hi @StirlingYang, sorry for the late reply. I missed your comment, and thank you for the detailed report.

I checked the TURRIS implementation: it currently handles media uploads, but does not send a playback-mode command for looping. I’m also checking PANORAMA separately, since it uses a different protocol path.

Could you open an issue (https://github.com/DXVSI/Tryx-Linux-GUI/issues/new) and copy your report there so we can track this properly? Please include the cooler’s firmware version and, if possible, a short sample video or GIF that reproduces the problem.
