CoreShop Upgrade from 3.0.4 to 4.0.0 | Recommended approach | Skipping patch versions fine?

We need to upgrade from CoreShop 3.0.4 to at least 4.0.0.
From the upgrade guide we understood that we need to upgrade to 3.2.11 before moving to 4.0.0.

Our question is how to get to 3.2.11.

Should we go there patch by patch like this:
3.0.4 -> 3.0.5
3.0.5 -> 3.0.6
3.0.6 -> 3.0.7
3.0.7 -> 3.1.0
...

Or would it be viable to directly go to the latest patch version of the same minor release:
3.0.4 -> 3.0.7
3.0.7 -> 3.1.0
3.1.0 -> 3.1.5
3.1.5 -> 3.2.0
3.2.0 -> 3.2.11
3.2.11 -> 4.0.0

no, its fine if you go to 3.2.11 and then to 4.0
