Unexpected behaviour of zoom and lat/lon parameter

We use the zoom parameter that we attach to our search queries and simply add the current map zoom here.

When I pass a focus point, very close to the sought destination, and a high zoom level, I would expect that the closer result will be extremely focus, but the opposite seems to be the case. Two examples:

In both cases I would have expected that the very close result (https://www.openstreetmap.org/node/55360536 at "coordinates": [9.5013148, 48.3338321] - almost exactly the lat/lon passed in the request) would be the first one. It doesn't even appear at zoom=10 (so maybe zoom works as expected?).

That is new expected behaviour. A higher zoom now really only makes the focus area smaller. Anything outside the focus area is ranked in the usual way. If you want to put more weight on the matches in the focus area, set location_bias_scale to a lower value instead of increasing zoom. Something like 0.1 and the "Bootshaus an der Lauter" will appear.
