Building AI Systems Worth Trusting

I'm David Turner (@atomicdjt), an independent developer, systems architect, and researcher working at the intersection of artificial intelligence, autonomous agents, software engineering, and scientific discovery.

My mission is to turn ambitious technical ideas into practical, verifiable systems that solve meaningful problems.

I focus on challenges that become increasingly important as AI systems grow more capable: reliability, transparency, autonomous execution, evidence integrity, reproducibility, and human oversight.

What I'm Building

My work spans several complementary areas:

  • Trustworthy AI & Autonomous Agents: Developing tools and engineering approaches that improve agent reliability, failure recovery, execution traceability, and accountability.
  • Open-Source Infrastructure: Creating reusable developer tools, integration components, and practical frameworks that make sophisticated technology more accessible.
  • Verification & Evidence Integrity: Building systems that preserve provenance, expose uncertainty, and make technical decisions independently auditable.
  • Scientific & Computational Research: Investigating complex questions through computational modeling, falsifiable hypotheses, and reproducible experiments.

Selected Projects

Validation Ledger — A decision-governance system focused on evidence provenance, integrity verification, and accountable decision-making.

Agent Session Bridge — Infrastructure for interoperable AI-agent session data, execution records, and more reliable agent workflows.

WeaveStudio — A local-first visual workflow environment designed to make complex processes easier to construct and manage.

BuildWorld AI — An experimental environment exploring interactive simulation, visual computation, and AI-assisted creation.

I also contribute to established open-source ecosystems, including work investigating autonomous-agent failure modes, recovery boundaries, and regression testing.

Why Sponsor My Work?

I develop independently, driven by the conviction that meaningful technological contributions should not depend exclusively on institutional affiliation or corporate backing.

Your sponsorship helps me:

  • Dedicate more time to open-source engineering and research.
  • Improve testing, documentation, security, and long-term maintainability.
  • Pursue technically ambitious problems that lack immediate commercial incentives.
  • Release useful tools, research artifacts, and reproducible findings publicly.
  • Contribute improvements and independently developed solutions to the broader developer community.

The Bigger Picture

I believe the next generation of AI must be judged not simply by what it can generate, but by what it can reliably accomplish, what it can demonstrate, and whether its results deserve to be trusted.

My objective is to help build that foundation.

If you value independent innovation, rigorous engineering, and open technology that delivers real-world utility, I'd be grateful for your support.

Thank you for helping make this work possible.

@atomicdjt

My first milestone is reaching 10 monthly sponsors to help sustain independent open-source development and research. Your support will help me advance projects like Validation Ledger and Agent Session Bridge, with a focus on trustworthy autonomous AI, evidence integrity, and reliable software infrastructure. Sponsorships will support development, testing, documentation, reproducible experiments, and the release of practical tools that other developers can freely inspect, use, and build upon. Every contribution helps turn independent research and ambitious engineering into accessible, verifiable technology. **10 sponsors. One shared objective: building technology that earns our trust.**
