Hi — I'm Måns Tånneryd. I maintain ef-bulk-operations: NuGet libraries that turn Entity Framework into a practical bulk path for SQL Server.
Why this exists
EF is great for ordinary unit-of-work work. It is not great when you need to move tens or hundreds of thousands of rows. These packages wrap SqlBulkCopy, temp tables, and carefully generated MERGE / set-based SQL so you can:
- Bulk insert (including graphs and store-generated key write-back)
- Bulk update / upsert
- Bulk select existing or missing rows
- Bulk delete rows that no longer exist in a source set
…with sync and async APIs for both EF6 (.NET Framework 4.8) and EF Core.
Who this is for
Teams shipping data-heavy .NET apps — migrations, sync jobs, ETL-ish workflows, pricing/catalog loads, and anything else that makes SaveChanges in a loop feel painful.
What sponsorships fund
Sponsorship keeps maintenance sustainable:
- Compatibility with new EF Core / SqlClient releases
- Bug fixes and edge cases (TPH, composite keys, concurrency, legacy SqlClient)
- Docs, tests, and release quality for NuGet consumers
- Time to answer issues and keep the library reliable for production use
If this package saved you a weekend of custom bulk plumbing — or runs in production every night — a sponsorship is a meaningful way to say thanks and help it stay healthy.
