Add the ability for built in view only fields

currently , we are able to control the features per element as the following

 builder: {
     remove: false,
     clone: false,
     move: false,
     edit: false,
     resize: false,  

however , the need of view only fields arises with complex forms for system in which some user can access the forms but cant fully do edits to all of the form fields

view: true attribute should allow the user to open the element panel without allowing edit unlike the edit: false that prevent both view and edits

benefits : see all settings of the element in details especially for things that are directly not clear in the preview , such as the conditions and so on

Hi @hibasalem – there's no way I can think of right now this could be achieved externally at the moment. Regarding your proposition: adding view: true would only affect new elements that are added to the form, which isn't ideal for permission related restrictions. I assume you want to set this option on existing / loaded forms, right?

So just to confirm – injecting these into an existing schema (that later gets exported/saved) wouldn’t be an issue, right?

It’s not a case where one user should be able to view and edit them, while another user can only view them?

From my side this config feels more tied to the element types (via the builder config) than to the schema itself, so it should be possible to “disable” them for editing regardless of whatever schema is loaded.

@adamberecz The exact use that different users will have different permission per field

example :

• user a is an admin (have all permission) , this user can edit any field in any form
• user b is a sub user (have limited permission) , this user can edit there own fields , add new fields , reorder .. etc , this user can view the fields that got added by user a but cant edit

that would make it related to the field schema were we would need to disable/enable per field even for the same user
