Decision: keep REA’s application-graph trace and managed-artifact comparison add practical detail beyond the book’s existing manual review guidance. The native workflow documents provider selection and exact-match evidence snapshots, not just a tool name. Sources, canonical placement, citations, links, Markdown structure, and preservation were checked. mdBook was not run, as required. Head: |

REA: Evidence-Backed Agent-Orchestrated Reverse Engineering from Application Behavior to Native Binaries
Blog high summary
Scope and purpose REA — Reverse Engineer Anything is a local CLI and MCP toolkit that gives coding agents a repeatable workflow for investigating software from application behavior down to native binaries. Its model is decompile → understand → recreate : open an artifact, inventory symbols, strings, metadata, procedures and references, reconstruct control flow, produce provider-specific pseudocode or assembly, record…
Agent-assisted reverse engineering: A general investigation pattern is to open a target binary, inventory symbols, strings, segments and procedures, search for feature-related identifiers, follow xrefs and callers, reconstruct a bounded call graph, inspect callees and metadata, and finally decompile the relevant routines. The resulting pseudocode, assembly, CFGs, references and function dossiers can explain authentication, storage, update, networking, undocumented formats or…
