Background

This project is a web port of polyhydra-core, built with extensive LLM assistance.

The same underlying geometry code is also used in:

• Open Brush — 3D Shapes experimental build
• Open Blocks — Open Blocks (Pull request, no builds currently)

Development

Prerequisites:

• Node.js 20+

Install dependencies:

npm install

Run the dev server:

npm run dev

Typecheck:

npm run lint

Build for production:

npm run build

GitHub Pages

This app is configured for GitHub Pages deployment from a repository named polyhydra-web.

The workflow in .github/workflows/deploy-pages.yml:

• runs on pushes to main
• installs dependencies with npm ci
• builds the app with VITE_BASE_PATH=/polyhydra-web/
• deploys dist to GitHub Pages

If you later host it from a custom domain or a different repository name, update the VITE_BASE_PATH value in the workflow.

Cloudflare Pages

The Meta Horizon 2D PWA is hosted at https://polyhydra.openblocks.app using the polyhydra Cloudflare Pages project. Deploy the production build with:

npm run deploy:cloudflare

This is a Direct Upload deployment. The script builds the root-hosted Vite output before uploading dist/.
