Using cancan 1.6.9 latest AS from git.

This was working but now it broke and I have no idea why or how.

that happens when there's no current_user, when you try to use it from rails console, where you don't initialize Session and therefore no current_user

Yes it's a weird quirk. I have a base controller and I inherit from that.
If I try to access the base controller in development mode I get that
error. It's quite strange and I think it has to do with the fact that AS is
all class level stuff.
