Berachain is an EVM-identical Layer 1 (L1) blockchain that uses liquidity to secure the network and fuel the application layer. Its Proof of Liquidity (PoL) consensus emits $WBERA each block and lets validators direct it to Reward Vaults, so the users and protocols supplying liquidity earn the rewards. Emissions Return Agreements (ERA) give selected teams dedicated emission streams as growth capital, repaid through fixed returns, revenue share, and demand for $BERA and $BUSD. Incentives settle in the Incentive Auction and accrue as $WBERA yield to $sWBERA, the token you receive for staking $BERA.
Berachain offers an EVM-identical execution environment, and leverages the novel BeaconKit on the consensus layer to provide single-slot finality.
