A frequent annoyance for me is that if aura -Aa foo fails to build for any reason, as AUR packages are wont to do, the delete deps task will not trigger to clean up the now useless makedepends.
It makes sense to keep them, admittedly, assuming that you'd fix up the package build and then attempt the very same build again. However, a subsequent aura -Aa foo will not delete the packages it installed before, as it has no way of knowing those are not needed now versus having been pre-existing packages.
So either --delmakedeps needs to trigger even on failures, or the info should be stored somehow to enable a subsequent successful aura -Aa foo to delete the appropriate packages (and also a way to delete them anyway, in case you decide to not install foo anymore).
