"Hi Chat. Hell-p me. I.want.to.park."
A simple LLM-powered parking assistant that helps drivers find nearby parking options based on destination, vehicle type, walking distance, parking duration, and preference.

Parking Hell started from a funny moment when I watched a video by @TimmyTubbyTV and @supercatkei (Instagram Reel), where they shared their frustration that maps apps can guide users to a destination, but do not really recommend where to park.
So I built a small chatbot to help with that problem lah.
User enters a destination, then the app will:
- Find the location coordinate using Nominatim API
- Search nearby parking using Overpass API / OpenStreetMap
- Rank the parking options by:
- Cheap Cheap Lah
- Nearest One Can
- Show a simple Parking Hell Score
- Display nearby parking table and map
- Ask Gemini to summarize the best parking recommendation
Note: Parking Map Visualization and Brief Explanation
- Streamlit chatbot UI
- Gemini API response generation
- Nominatim geocoding
- Overpass API parking search
- Vehicle type & Parking preference selection
- Parking Hell Score
- Simple map visualization
- Basic prompt-injection guardrail
- Annnnnnd, Singlish-style chatbot personality like you talk to your neighbor uncles

This project uses OpenStreetMap data, so parking availability, pricing, and opening-hour information may be incomplete depending on the location. Parking recommendations are based on a simple distance and affordability heuristic rather than real-time parking data.
For demo purposes, a small fallback parking dataset is included for selected locations (e.g., ION Orchard) when OpenStreetMap does not return nearby parking results.
This project is intended as a simple final-project demonstration and not a production parking or navigation system.
