Mustafa Enes Kalkan

Full-stack developer and Computer Engineering student at TED University (English instruction, Control Systems minor) on a 100% merit scholarship, based in Ankara, Turkey. I build web apps and run the servers they live on: frontend, API, database, and hosting, owning the whole process from requirements to long-term maintenance. Freelancing since 2021.

What I do

  • Full-stack web development (React / Next.js / TypeScript)
  • Backend/API development (Node.js/Express, Python/FastAPI)
  • Databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, MSSQL)
  • Cloud & DevOps (Docker, Docker Compose, Nginx, Traefik, Linux VPS, Cloudflare)
  • Embedded systems and hardware (Arduino, ESP32, KiCad)

Experience

  • Frontend Intern, Jotform (Aug – Sep 2026): built Review Element Selector, an internal visual review and QA annotation tool. Reviewers load a live product in an iframe, pin UI elements, add notes, and capture annotated PNGs. Solved element identity across DOM churn (virtualized lists, sorting, duplicate ids) with fingerprint scoring and product adapters for grids and kanban boards. React, TypeScript, Rspack, IndexedDB.
  • Full-Stack & Cloud Systems, Freelance (2021 – present): designed, built, and operated production web applications on Linux VPS servers with Docker, Nginx/Traefik, and Cloudflare. Also self-host services such as Nextcloud and a Docker mail server.
  • AAATLAS Team, TEKNOFEST EV Efficiency Challenge (2022): vehicle control and battery management system (BMS) logic on Arduino, plus KiCad schematics and PCBs.
    • 5th place (efficiency), Jury Special Award, Promotion & Dissemination Award

Open source

  • backend: production-oriented Node.js/Express/TypeScript API starter with token handling and session auditing (MongoDB)
  • cms-starter: Next.js/TypeScript admin frontend for the backend template

Tech stack

Languages: JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, Java, C/C++, SQL

Web & backend: React, Next.js, Node.js, Express, FastAPI, .NET (coursework)

Databases: PostgreSQL, MongoDB, MSSQL

Cloud/DevOps: Docker, Docker Compose, Nginx, Traefik, Linux VPS operations, AWS, Cloudflare (DNS & security)

Embedded/Hardware: Arduino, ESP32, KiCad
