- Line 51: Update the VAPID key loading flow in InitWebPush to fall back to the
legacy ./vapid.json when the default path from vapidKeyPath is missing, without
overriding an explicitly configured key path. When the legacy key is found,
persist it at the new data/vapid.json path so future startups use the migrated
keypair.

the keys after persistence succeeds.

Prevent concurrent initializers from replacing each other’s keypair.
If two processes see the key file as missing, both generate keys and write to the same .tmp path. Their writes can interfere, and os.Rename can replace a key file installed by the other process. A process can then serve a public key that does not match the persisted private key. Use distinct temporary files, and coordinate the initial read and commit so only one generated keypair becomes authoritative. Go documents that WriteFile truncates an existing file and that Rename replaces an existing destination. (pkg.go.dev)
