Summary

Adds commerce-plp-management, a starter that gives merchandising teams editorial control of the Shopify category page — product curation, in-grid storytelling, badges, facet order, and custom campaign collections — as a Sanity enrichment layer on top of Shopify.

Presence-based: one collectionEnrichment document per collection handle. If it exists, the storefront merges it over the Shopify output; if not, the collection renders as pure Shopify.

What's included

  • Studio (v5) — collectionEnrichment + productBadge schemas, product-picker and sync-status inputs, merchandiser structure views, Presentation.
  • Frontend (Next.js 16 + React 19 + Tailwind v4) — the "Sanity Swag Store" PLP with parallel Shopify/Sanity fetch, merge + null-check, faceouts, editorial tiles, date-gated badges, promoted facets, and an interim variantOverrides personalization layer.
  • @starter/commerce — framework-agnostic Shopify adapter (Storefront + Admin, client-credentials grant), merge logic, and the sanity_plp_collection metaobject contract.
  • Sanity Functions — collection-sync (publish → Shopify metaobject + stamp sync status) and badge-resync.
  • Blueprint, bootstrap, seed, scripts (shopify:setup, shopify:storefront-token), CI + template validation, AGENT.md/README.

Deploy-ready hardening (latest commit)

  • Store-agnostic default seed so pnpm bootstrap works on any store; the fully-merchandised demo lives in demo-swag-store.ndjson behind pnpm seed:demo.
  • deploy.yml (Studio + blueprint deploy, frontend build guard).
  • README Deploying section documenting the Vercel storefront setup (root dir, env vars, CORS) alongside the Sanity-hosted surfaces.
  • Collection PLP layout fixes (no facet-rail collapse, no grid card overlap).

Test plan

  • pnpm validate (sanity-template-validate) passes
  • pnpm typecheck passes across all workspaces
  • pnpm --filter frontend build succeeds
  • pnpm create sanity@latest --template sanity-labs/starters/commerce-plp-management from a clean checkout
  • pnpm bootstrap against a fresh project (schema + blueprint + seed)
  • Import storefront into Vercel per README and verify a live collection PLP

Notes for reviewers

  • The starter is wired into the root .github/workflows/ci.yml (environment: commerce-plp-management). That GitHub Environment needs SANITY_PROJECT_ID / SANITY_DATASET (and SANITY_AUTH_TOKEN + SANITY_STACK_ID if we enable the deploy workflow).

Merchandiser-controlled PLP enrichment layer over Shopify: presence-based
collectionEnrichment + shared productBadge vocabulary, Next.js 16 storefront
with parallel fetch + merge, Sanity Functions push-sync to Shopify metaobjects,
and a framework-agnostic @starter/commerce package (Shopify adapter, merge
logic, metaobject contract). Dev Dashboard client-credentials Admin auth with
a minted public Storefront token.

commerce-plp-management: make template deploy-ready

docs(starter): document monorepo CI wiring for new starters

The starter skill and CONTRIBUTING now spell out that a new starter needs its
own job in the root ci.yml (the starter's own workflows don't run in this repo),
plus the GitHub Environment vars/secrets. Correct the stale note about editing
the husky hook — it auto-discovers starters.
