Soup at Work

Upload Data Upload Data
SOUP allows users to upload event logs in CSV format for the automatic creation of EKGs. Simply navigate to the "Upload CSV" section and follow the step-by-step instructions to correctly import your log file. Once uploaded, the file is parsed and a preview table displays the detected entities and properties. A dynamic sidebar panel lets users select which entities and attributes to include in the analysis, simplifying the EKG generation process by filtering out irrelevant data.
Show Data Show Data
After uploading the CSV file and selecting relevant entities, SOUP automatically generates the EKG and stores it in Memgraph. The tool provides immediate feedback by displaying key statistics, as the number of nodes and relationships created, and the total construction time. These insights give users a quick overview of the graph’s size and structural complexity.
View Graph View and Manipulate Graph
The sidebar enables users to interactively explore the generated EKG through intuitive navigation tools. Available operations include zooming, panning, expanding nodes, and traversing edges. Users can search for specific nodes or relationships, customize the graph’s appearance, and export it in SVG or JSON formats.
Aggregate Graph Aggregate Graph
SOUP enables users to aggregate nodes into higher-level Classes, simplifying the visualization of complex event structures. By selecting attributes for aggregation, users can generate a Class Graph, where related entities are grouped accordingly.
Filter Graph Filter Graph
To enhance analysis capabilities, SOUP offers a variety of filtering options inspired by traditional process mining techniques. Users can refine the EKG by applying filters based on:
  • Timestamp ranges – isolate events within specific time windows
  • Activity frequency – filter by how often specific activities occur
  • Performance duration – include or exclude traces based on execution time
  • Variant occurrence – focus on traces with specific behavioral patterns
  • Inclusion/Exclusion of activities – show or hide selected activities
All filter configurations are saved as part of the EKG analysis history and can be exported, archived, or reloaded for reuse in future sessions. If a filter invalidates or conflicts with another, SOUP will notify the user to maintain analysis consistency.
