Summary

Adds one factual Hronaut entry to AI Web Automation Tools > Dev Tools. This refresh completes the current PR template and adds public evaluation evidence; the one-line README diff is unchanged.

Section

Dev Tools

Why this belongs

Hronaut provides a standalone local Electron/Chromium browser workspace for coding agents over loopback MCP. Browser interaction is its primary use case. Named workspaces retain tabs and storage independently of the agent conversation; a new MCP session needs the private resume capability to regain access. A person can manually pause new agent commands and take over in the visible browser. Pause does not undo already-dispatched work.

It is browser tooling for a separate agent, not an agent model, hosted browser fleet or public remote endpoint.

Primary documented web-agent use case

Public reference

  • 34-second real workspace-continuity demonstration, captions and exact test scope. A 2.4.24 source build and two MCP SDK test clients exercise retained tab/check state after disconnect, denied ID-only access from a new session, private-key resume and a fresh result snapshot. Ten focused assertions passed on a synthetic loopback page.
  • The video is not a downloaded-installer, named AI-client, app-restart, external-site or security-audit test. It remains labeled 2.4.24 even though the current release is 2.4.25.
  • Subscription and Trial License: source-available, not OSI open source. One 10-day trial from the first agent tool call; afterward $4/month or $24/year per named user, up to three active devices. Desktop downloads are unsigned/not Apple-notarized; setup includes verification guidance.

Affiliation disclosure

I maintain Hronaut and am submitting this entry. This PR description and demo production tooling were prepared with AI assistance. No integration with Steel or other listed tools, universal compatibility, endorsement, safety certification or performance advantage is claimed.
