Conversation
The traditional religions festival is on 10 January from 1998 (Law 97-031) and, from 2025, on the second Friday of January together with the Thursday before it (Law 2024-32). French names follow Law 90-019, and the three National Days of its article 3 are added as observances.

Updates Benin against the laws that define its holidays.
The rules for the Islamic holidays are unchanged; only their French names change.
Examples: 9–10 January 2025, 8–9 January 2026 (both declared by official communiqués) and 7–8 January 2027 (January starts on a Friday).
